These are two test pieces I used utrying out a new to me process . These two pieces came from a tin foil saggar . The pots were coated respectively in ferric chloride and potassium dicrominate . The tin foil is then smeared with honey and peanut butter, add a few organic items of your choice , a few egg shells , wrap it up and put in kiln .
Welcome to a spot where you will get to experience my ongoing love affair with my life

Pics of the annual thanksgiving Raku fest at my studio
What a great day, starts out at 5:30 am lighting the barrel, then later in the morning a friend stopped by and we did a few pieces in a horsehair ,ferric chloride finish then threw them into reduction , later lit another kiln and did some pieces to be fumed, then did a my firt alcohol reduction firing with just one piece ,then did a regular Raku firing , and after dinner unloaded the barrel fire kiln I. What could be better , good friends, firing multiple kilns . Fun with flames and chemicals, unfortunately the first try at alcohol reduction didn't really work put as planned , and the fumed pieces got away before I got pics of them , but this is the rest of it all
